Summary: Years of training have paid off. Techno’s journey to become a Pokémon champion is approaching its end. He has persevered through many tough battles and caught several different Pokémon. Now, the only thing standing between him and his battle with Champion Squidkid is the Elite Four’s final member, Philza. Prepared to face the challenge head-on, Techno ventures into the wilderness where his opponent is supposedly waiting.

Notes: An Emerald Duo Pokémon AU written for @droidofmay as part of the @voicesfortheblade charity event! The prompt was, “Technoblade as a prospective Champion in a Pokemon AU, with Philza as the last member of the Elite Four he needs to fight, except Philza is way off in the wilderness and Techno has to go chase him down. Bonus points for competitiveness, mentions of shiny hunting, getting distracted trying to figure out how to cross something when neither of their teams has the required HM, and silliness about Teams/other aspects of Pokemon worldbuilding.”

When Techno was five, his parents gave him up to the foster system. He's never heard from them since. Knowing that they didn't mean to forget to come back for him, despite everyone insisting otherwise, he decides to find his way back to them, no matter how long it takes. He's not going to let anything stop him, not even a measly cold and a little rain. Now, he's ten, and he thinks this time he'll actually make it. He already has the bus ticket and everything! Unfortunately, he doesn't expect Phil, his foster brother, to follow after him. It's going to be a long night, that's for sure.

Thanks for donating to charity and thanks for the prompt! Now, I will admit that I haven't written many sickfic's before. I kinda got sidetracked by a subplot of Techno running away from his foster home to look for his bio parents and Phil following after him. Techno is sick, though. It's very much a Thing. There's just another plot surrounding it, which I hope is okay.

I mean..."sickfic with hurt/comfort" is a prompt I can be creative with. And this bad boy will have lots of hurt/comfort.

I had to break it into three parts fo that I could get it posted on time (and even then I have, like. less than an hour left to the 1st my time). The next two parts shouldn't take too long. I aim for the end of the first week, but at the very latest--though I sincerely hope it doesn't come to it--all parts will be out by the end of the month. I can assure you that much at least.

One last thing: Happy birthday Technoblade and happy pride month everyone else!!

Comin' Down Is The Hardest Thing

Okay so shapeshifting into The Crow was objectively a bad idea, but on the other hand, he got to literally wear a mask in public and nobody was saying his real name. He could mess up, and it was like a whole different guy had messed up! Social anxiety life hack, simply do not be yourself when you make mistakes and then you won’t make mistakes. Technoblade had even spent a couple evenings at home in the shapeshift, eating everything in his fridge, and the wounds he’d presented with had slowly closed up. He’d washed the blood out of the suit too. His bathtub had looked like someone had died. It barely even hurt to be a superhero any more, and no one had said his name in a tone of confused condemnation in like a week. They’d said The Crow’s name, admittedly, but that hardly counted.

Someone burst through the front door of the coffee shop, face pale. “There’s a kid stuck up on a ledge on the fourth floor, does anybody got a ladder?”

Every eye in the coffee shop turned to look at the superhero standing at the milk and sugar cart with his drink. Techno gulped. “Uh, hi,” he said.

Or: Technoblade is a secret shapeshifter who's just realized that superheros get free food. Hijinks ensue.
